I don’t have access to my department’s network shared storage. What should I do?
To access your department’s shared storage folder you must request access from the folder’s administrator. If you do not know who your department’s administrator is, contact the ITS Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP), email or initiate a chat session.

Does an employee who leaves Northeastern continue to have access to the shared storage?
Employees who have left Northeastern lose their account privileges and access to any network shared storage.

Can I retrieve a file I accidentally deleted from my shared storage folder?
Files deleted from your shared storage folder are sent to the trash on your desktop computer. If you have not emptied your trash, you can restore the file from there to your desktop, and from there you can move it back into your shared storage folder.

Can I store my personal photo/music library in a shared storage folder?
Network shared storage is for storing and sharing work-related files. External storage devices-such as a USB drive, CD or DVD, or external hard drive-are recommended for storing personal files.
