On the Mac OS X desktop, click the wireless icon on the upper right hand side of the screen. Click “NUwave” from the menu that appears.


  • Do NOT select NUwave-guest if it appears – that network is unsecured and is only for visitors to Northeastern.
  • Do NOT select NURes-Device if it appears – that network is specifically for devices that do not support 802.1x and are not able to connect to NUwave.


When the login window appears, enter your myNortheastern username and password. Check “Remember this network,” and then click OK.


When the authentication certificate appears, click “Show Certificate.”


In the expanded window, verify that it says it is from “wireless.northeastern.edu” and that the certificate is selected.


Click the arrow next to “Trust” to expand, and in each dropdown make sure the “Alway Trust” option is selected.

To finish, click Continue.


At this point, you should be connected. And whenever your computer detects NUwave, you will be able to connect automatically.
