Click the Network icon in your taskbar notification area.
In the network panel that comes up, click on NUwave and make sure the “Connect automatically” box is checked. Then click Connect.
- Do NOT select NUwave-guest if it appears – that network is unsecured and is only for visitors to Northeastern.
- Do NOT select NURes-Device if it appears – that network is specifically for devices that do not support 802.1x and are not able to connect to NUwave.
- If you do not see any available networks when you are in an area covered by NUwave, make sure that airplane mode is set to “Off.”
Enter your myNortheastern username and password, and click OK.
The first time you connect to a new certificate, you will get a Network Security Alert or a notification of a new certificate. Check that the certificate is the same as below by clicking “Details” or “Show certificate details,” and then click “Connect.”
At this point, you should be connected. And whenever your computer detects NUwave, you will be able to connect automatically.
NOTE: If you find that you get a message saying that you cannot connect, click Close and try again – this time enter “nunet\myNortheastern username” as your username, along with your myNortheastern password.
