Connecting to NUwave on your Co-Op Computer
step 1Step 1: Open up “Network and Sharing Center” from control panel (or from right-clicking the wifi symbol on the bottom right of your computer screen). Select “Set up a new connection or network”.

step 2Step 2: Select “Manually connect to a wireless network”.

step 3Step 3: Fill in the following areas, as shown in the screenshot: Network name: NUwave (case-sensitive) Security type: WPA2-Enterprise Encryption type: AES Then hit next.

step 4Step 4: Select “Change connection settings”

step 5Step 5: A new dialogue box will appear. Go to the security tab. Make sure your settings match the settings in the screenshot: Security type: WPA2-Enterprise Encryption type: AES Choose a network authentication method: Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP) and then click the “Settings” button under “Choose a network authentication method”.

step 6Step 6: Go to the “Select authentication method” section and click “Configure”. A dialog box should pop up. Uncheck the option asking you to automatically use the Windows login name and password. Click “ok”.

step 7Step 7: Return to the “Security” tab from “NUwave Wireless Network Properties” and click on “Advanced settings”.

step 8Step 8: Edit the settings so they look exactly like the picture. If you want, you can also click “save credentials”, and enter in your husky username and password (the same ones you use to login to myNortheastern).

If all goes according to plan, you should be able to connect to NUwave. Co-op computers often have other settings configured differently from how NUwave is configured. If you need additional help, bring your computer to ResNet where a tech will be able to help you further.
