SAS (originally, Statistical Analysis Software) is an integrated system of software applications for data entry, retrieval, management and mining; report writing and graphics; statistical analysis; and business planning, forecasting and decision support. JMP Pro is a predictive analytics software that provides advanced algorithms for building, assessing and managing predictive models.

SAS and JMP Pro access methods listed below are for academic use only. If you need SAS or JMP Pro for administrative purposes, submit a Software Licensing and Distribution request through the ServiceNow portal (sign-in may be required).
- Northeastern-managed computers: Available on all ITS-managed lab and faculty/staff Northeastern-managed computers under Start > All Programs > SAS. Also available for installation on faculty/staff computers through Start > All Programs > Microsoft System Center > Software Center, and Appcloud.
- Unmanaged Northeastern computers and Faculty/staff personal computers: myNortheastern > Services and Links > Faculty/Staff Services > Software Downloads, Appcloud
- Student personal computers: myNortheastern > Self-Service > Study and Course Resources > Software Downloads, Appcloud
- Research computing
NOTE: The SAS and JMP Pro license expires annually in August. SAS and JMP Pro software in the NUnet imaged lab computers will renew automatically. Software locally installed on personal computers and unmanaged Northeastern computers will require the user to update the SAS installation data (SID) file which may be found in Software Downloads under the version installed. Select the License Renewal to download renewal documentation and the new SID file. For older versions of SAS that are no longer being distributed in Software Downloads, the new SID file and renewal documentation can be obtained by contacting the ITS Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP).
