Northeastern Information Technology Services provides video conferencing through BlueJeans.
BlueJeans is a cloud-based video conferencing and content-sharing service that offers interoperability with multiple platforms. Using BlueJeans, you can meet, share content, chat or record a session using an in-room conferencing system, a Windows or Mac desktop or laptop browser, or an iOS or Android mobile device. Recordings must comply with the university’s policies around BlueJeans recordings. You may store recorded content for up to one year and share the recordings with others.
This service allows you to collaborate via both audio and video with coworkers, vendors, and partners from around the globe by hosting guest speakers, conducting interviews, or participating in meetings or classes on or off-campus.
Faculty, staff and some selected sponsored account holders (lecturer, new hire faculty/staff, contractor, consultant, or graduate research assistant) may initiate a BlueJeans session. For access to Blue Jeans, go to northeastern.bluejeans.com. Log in with your office 365 username [firstname.lastname@example.org] and myNortheastern password. Beneath the login area, you will see the guidelines for recording a BlueJeans session. Whether or not you plan to record the session, become familiar with those guidelines to proceed. You may start an instant meeting or schedule a meeting. You do not need to log in to attend a meeting initiated by someone else.
