Finding and Creating Community at Northeastern

Have you explored Communities at Northeastern lately? There are groups for residence halls, majors, working groups, the off-campus housing search, and just plain interesting topics like photography, cybersecurity, and a capella singing. Communities operate on the Microsoft Yammer platform, so you can also stay connected on the mobile app. Discover your people across Northeastern’s global network – or create a community to bring them together!

How to find and create Communities

Plan for Northeastern’s Retirement of Blackboard LMS

Northeastern’s Blackboard environment, the learning management system replaced by Canvas last year, will be retired on June 30, 2021. Until Blackboard’s retirement date, students can log in at northeastern.blackboard.com to view and download content and data from past semesters’ Blackboard courses.

After June 30, access to materials and Blackboard assignment submissions will only be available upon request. Access to assignments submitted using third-party integrations (like TurnItIn) will not be available after the Blackboard retirement. For more information, read about Blackboard retirement and how to plan for it.
