A new login experience rolls out for Microsoft Office 365 applications on June 22

To increase online security, among other benefits, Northeastern is transitioning to a new, more streamlined login experience for apps and services throughout 2023. The rollout will begin on June 22 for faculty and staff, and it will change the way you log in. One notable change is a new look for Duo 2FA with a redesigned authentication called the Duo Universal Prompt. This prompt is the interface you see when you perform two-factor authentication. Now is a good time to get familiar with what’s changing before the rollout.

Microsoft Teams Tip: Get started with Viva Engage

Communities at Northeastern—powered by Microsoft’s social platform Yammer—will soon evolve to become Viva Engage. This application is an extension of Yammer’s experiences, such as communities or open conversations, and connects people within the Northeastern community anywhere, at any time. With all the same functionality and foundation as Yammer, Viva Engage will help deliver an integrated experience and can be added as an integrated app within Teams.
