A strong password can save the day!

Did you know that 80% of data breaches are linked to weak passwords? Passwords are the first line of cybersecurity defense on all Northeastern University online accounts. They help secure both personal and institutional data and information, in combination with two-factor authentication. With World Password Day coming up on May 2, it’s a great reminder to update your passwords.

Employee account updates coming May 10

All faculty, staff, and sponsored accounts are migrating to a more modern system to better serve the university’s workforce. This transition shouldn’t impact employees’ day-to-day or access to sites and services but is expected to streamline the employee onboarding and support processes. Check out the available FAQs to learn more about this initiative ahead of its launch in May.

What’s new in Academic Technologies – Updates coming on April 30

As part of efforts to enhance the teaching and learning experience across the university’s global campus system, Academic Technologies (AT) will update Panopto, Gradescope, VoiceThread, Pearson, McGraw-Hill Connect, and Top Hat on April 30. In addition to providing more secure access between Canvas and these tools, this upgrade will introduce new functionalities. Services may be intermittently unavailable on April 30, however, Canvas will not be impacted.
