Northeastern is introducing new features to the Classroom Dashboard just in time for the start of the semester. As part of the Tech Service Portal, the Classroom Dashboard is not only your one-stop shop for classroom information, but it’s also your go-to for all other technology needs.  

Know

The Classroom Dashboard provides faculty and students with several self-service options to help make the most of their teaching and learning experience, including: 

  • The ability for faculty to view their assigned classrooms and explore detailed technology specifications, classroom status, Teams email addresses, and pictures.  
  • Tech support options, including: 
    • In-classroom and after-hours support.  
    • Self-ticketing functionality to log non-urgent IT issues. 
    • Status of classroom-related tickets in real-time.  
  • Access to useful resources such as: 
    • Quick Start Guides.
    • Classroom technology features. 
    • Training resources. 

Do

  • Review the Classroom Dashboard before the start of the semester to familiarize yourself with the technology and resources available in your classroom(s).  
  • Bookmark the Classroom Dashboard on your browser or add it to your favorites in the Employee or Student Hubs to keep it handy.

  • Make sure your peers are aware of the new features available on the Classroom Dashboard – share this information at your next class or meeting.
  • Remind your colleagues to check the Classroom Dashboard if they’re experiencing IT issues or have questions about the technology in a classroom.
