Whether you’re in London, Boston, or another Northeastern campus, Microsoft 365 provides numerous features and tools to help you navigate work across the increasingly global community. Here are three ways you can utilize the platform to help streamline meeting coordination, improve collaboration and organization, and bring conversations and content together in one place.

Simplify scheduling with Outlook

Picture this: You’re organizing an upcoming meeting for an important project. As you enter your colleagues’ names into the invitation, you remember that one of them is in London. You’re in Boston and want to schedule the meeting for 9 a.m. ET—how can you quickly ensure this won’t be at the same time as when your London colleague is eating dinner?

Outlook makes scheduling across time zones simple and efficient. Not only can you use Outlook to manage the time zone for your own location (including when you’re traveling), you can also add an additional time zone for a meeting or appointment when you create the event. When you send a meeting request to an attendee in a different time zone, the event is displayed at the respective local times on each person’s calendar.

Enhance file collaboration with Teams

While you may not always be in the same room, state, or country as your colleagues, Microsoft Teams makes it easy to collaborate, share, and store files with others no matter where you are. You can use OneDrive in Teams to share, view, and edit files with others on your team, from any device.

Want to save a file to a specific channel? Each Teams channel contains its own file folder where you can share files for that specific group.

Elevate co-creation using Loop

If you’ve ever experienced the headache of jumping between apps or losing track of documents and ideas for a project, Microsoft Loop provides a great tool for overcoming that frustration. Loop streamlines how teams plan and create together through shared workspaces, flexible canvas pages, and portable components (tables, task lists, paragraphs, etc.) that can move freely and sync across all the places they’re shared, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and more. Using Loop allows teams to co-create in real time, leading to better collaboration and more meaningful connections.
