Hello!

In IT Services, we have been working tirelessly all summer to prepare for the fall semester and are so glad to welcome you back!

Of the many things that ITS has been working on for you this summer, the Student Hub is a new highly-personalized resource to help students connect to campus resources and each other. It’s also home to the new dynamic scheduling tool, where you can select preferences for attending classes remotely or in person and view your final seat assignments week-to-week.

Rapid work is underway to enhance the Hub, dynamic scheduling, and other services that you use. Student input was critical to the development of the Hub and will continue to help shape its future. When you have a moment, please scroll down to the bottom of the Hub and share your feedback, and consider getting involved in future opportunities to contribute.

We’ll continue to send these periodic updates throughout the fall. If you have a topic that you’d like to see covered in a future update, please send suggestions to its@northeastern.edu. If you require technical assistance, please contact the IT Service Desk directly—they’re ready to help 24/7 all year long at 617.373.HELP [4357] and help@northeastern.edu.

Be Well and Check-In

The university launched a new Wellness Portal to connect the university community to the resources they need for a safe return to campus over the course of the fall. The Wellness Portal, services.northeastern.edu/wellness, provides access to the Daily Wellness Check, the COVID-19 Test Scheduler, and other related resources. A mobile app for iOS and Android devices is coming soon to make it even easier and more convenient to Protect the Pack and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Stop. Think. Stay Secure.

Northeastern, the IRS, and the courts may sometimes ask you for money – but they’ll NEVER ask to be paid in gift cards. That’s a sure sign of a scam. Criminals aren’t taking time off for the pandemic – if anything, they’ve ramped up their efforts to defraud people.

It’s a busy time of year – and that means people are distracted and more likely to fall for fraud. The Office of Information Security wants you to be on the lookout for sketchy emails, text messages, and phone calls. Learn more at getsecure.northeastern.edu.
