Take Action: Accepting NUwave Wireless Certificates
Don’t be surprised to encounter a pop-up when next connecting to NUwave, the university’s secure wireless campus network. This pop-up, asking users to verify a certificate, is safe to accept and is similar to the one received when connecting to NUwave for the first time from any particular laptop, mobile phone, or other device. Periodically, Northeastern is required to update the security certificate for NUwave, which helps keep the university community safe and secure when connecting wirelessly from Northeastern locations.
For a refresher on NUwave and what to expect when verifying certificates, find instructions for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices in the Tech Service Portal.
The Student Hub is Home Base
Students logged close to 3 million page views in the Student Hub this spring, using the Hub to access email, resources and links, Communities at Northeastern, and more. As departments and the university begin to prepare for the incoming class of students and the next academic year, take a moment to review about.me.northeastern.edu and the guide to Resources on the Hub. Then, update your websites, print materials, and other messaging and resources as appropriate to reflect the transition from the myNortheastern student portal to the Hub.
