As part of ongoing efforts to celebrate and recognize great team members, the IT Leadership Team recently promoted two ITS staff members. These promotions recognize the ongoing work and contributions to drive digital transformation across Northeastern. They also demonstrate ITS’s commitment to helping its most consistently high-performing team members continue to grow and thrive.
Priyanka Mahendra Kumar – Manager, Project Management Office
Priyanka has received numerous accolades for her project management skills, including her ability to communicate and listen both inwardly with ITS teams and outwardly with customers and leaders. She demonstrates excellent judgement in making critical decisions and involving the necessary stakeholders in a timely manner. In her current supervisory role, she models these skills by providing management, review, and oversight of the PMO methodology within her team, and has proven to yield effectively-managed projects within the department. Priyanka’s new position will allow her to continue to lead teams and oversee projects, with additional staff reporting up to her.
Ryan Bender – Director, Digital University Solutions
Ryan has been with Northeastern in various capacities for seven years and has been an instrumental leader in the rapid evolution and expansion of digital services and tools to meet the community’s needs. Throughout the pandemic and leading up to this academic year, Ryan has played a key role in the digital transformation of more than 350 classroom and collaboration spaces across the global network. Additionally, Ryan led his growing Digital University Solutions team, building out a dedicated technology training function; expanding the university’s portfolio of digital tools for collaboration, information sharing, and hybrid work; and guiding efforts to enhance the customer-focused knowledge base resulting in a 270% growth in customer usage since 2019. His dynamic expertise makes him a tremendous asset in leading key initiatives, special projects, and incident response.
