Wednesday, October 5
Security Awareness Training Kickoff

This training is assigned to faculty, staff, and anyone with a sponsored account to complete during the month of October as part of the Office of Information Security’s efforts to safeguard Northeastern data and devices. 

Wednesday, October 5 
Office of General Counsel Compliance Colloquium – Don’t Let Your Data Byte You: Privacy and Personal Data Management 

This event is focused on privacy practices and records management policies for faculty and staff at Northeastern.  

Thursday, October 13 
NU Preparedness Day 

An event sponsored by NUPD to educate faculty, staff, students, and the general public about safety and security. Visit the Office of Information Security table for information about keeping safe from phishing scams. 

Monday, October 17 
Data Destruction Day 

The annual event returns to campus to offer faculty, staff, and students a safe way to securely and sustainably destroy personal devices and paper materials that may contain data. 

Wednesday, October 19 
Session 1 with Khoury Faculty 

An interactive Q&A session with Khoury faculty to answer attendees’ burning questions about online privacy and security. 

Wednesday, October 26 
Session 2 with Khoury Faculty 

An interactive Q&A session with Khoury faculty to answer attendees’ burning questions about connected devices and how they affect privacy and security.
